After a somewhat mysterious sequence of events, an oceanic flight from Sydney to LA crashes on what appears to be a deserted island. The chance of being found and rescued are fairly small, so the survivors have to cope with a set of challenges. They have to learn to survive on the island, a mysterious place with enough dangers on it's own. Also, they have to learn to live with each other if any success is to be expected. And finally, they have to live with themselves and their pasts. Interwoven with the events on the islands are flashbacks to the pasts of some 10 main characters. Step by step, we learn a little more about their diverse and unexpected pasts as the group's quest to survive takes shape.
This is a fantastic show even though im only on the 7th episiode
Family Guy is an animated television series set in the fictional town of Quahog (pronounced "CO-hog"), Rhode Island. The show was created by Seth MacFarlane and features many of his voices as well as those of others, including actresses Jennifer Tilly and That '70s Show star Mila Kunis, actor Seth Green, Mad TV star Alex Borstein, and comedic actor Patrick Warburton. Former Batman star Adam West and Haley Joel Osment, among others, also occasionally appear.
Characters
The show centers around the adventures of Peter Griffin and his family. Peter is an incompetent production line worker at a toy factory (and, later, an incompetent fisherman) and bumbling, drunk father, yet still a dedicated family man. His wife, Lois is a stay-at-home mom and daughter of wealthy socialites. Their children consist of two teens, the socially-awkward and status-conscious Meg, the mentally slow, yet artistically-gifted Chris, and the diabolically super-intelligent and potentially matricidal baby Stewie. The family also lives with an intelligent, alcoholic, talking dog named Brian, though it may be somewhat of a misnomer to call him a pet.
Other common characters include the neighbours of the Griffin family, and various co-workers and town personalities. Unlike The Simpsons, Family Guy does not have a very large cast of recurring minor characters, and most episodes center chiefly around the exploits of the Griffin family.
Family guy in my opinion is the new simpsons, and if you dont already own the first 3 seasons well your missing out.
Seinfeld
One of the most watched television shows of the 90's, "Seinfeld" is a true-to-life comedy series that follows the events of a group of friends. The group consists of Jerry Seinfeld, a stand-up comedian who questions every bizarre tidbit about life, George Costanza, a hard-luck member of the New York Yankees organization, Elaine Benes, a flashy woman who is not afraid to speak her mind, and Cosmo Kramer, an extremely eccentric, lanky goofball. Another very notable member of the show is Newman, a chubby mailman, friend of Kramer, and, almost always, nemesis of Jerry. Other sources of comedy appear in the form of the parents of both Jerry and George.
This is the funniest show ever made, its just amazing
The simpsons
It may not be the best show around anymore but it is still dahm good. The Simpsons is the ultimate (if very unorthodox) nuclear family. Homer, the lovable dufus father, stumbles apathetic ally through his family life and work at the local nuclear power plant. Marge, the overbearing but responsible mother, Bart, the 4th grade underachiever and nemesis to Springfield elementary's principal Mr Skinner , Lisa, the brainy and responsible 8 year old, and Maggie, the oft-forgotten baby, round out the family. Based on a series of small cartoon sketches from the Tracy Ullman show, the Simpsons enjoy many wacky exploits in their hometown and beyond. Other characters include an incompetent lawyer, the tyrranical nuclear power plant owner, the too-perfect neighbors (the Flanders) of the Simpsons, and the less than perfect "Klown", Krusty. Colorful characters and situations abound this will always be the first and best adult cartoon show.
